There is also no shortage of political ads, pundits, and analysts that try to sway the opinion of potential voters.

Grant Thornton survey, 55% of overall respondents indicated that lack of soft skills — communication, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities — posed the most significant challenge in recruiting seasoned accounting professionals. The report said today’s accountants need better soft skills and critical thinking to relate accounting rules to real-world scenarios and apply good judgment to ensure the appropriate application of accounting principles.
